| Hi, maybe someone is looking for a special begonia species or want to swap, so here is a list of my begonias .
My aim is to collect only rhizomatous begonias and only species and no varieties or hybrids. But reality is different. :) With the hybrids and varieties it is also sometimes not easy – primary hybrids are ok for me, like my own B. bowerae hybrids or these old ´Erythrophyla´ or `Ricinifolia`. With the newer varieties it depends a little bit – most of them I don’t like, some of them I try one year and than I give them away.
So the basic of my collection are the rhizomatous begonia species like: B. conchifolia f. rubrimacula B. fluminensis B. goegoensis B. gehrtii B. hoehniana B. kautskyana B. kingiana B. nelumbifolia from Section Trachelocarpus: B. lanceolata and B. attenuata (and still seeking the other species) B. rajah B. soli-mutata and last not least B. bowerae and B. bowerae hybrids; commercial like `Kitten` or `China Doll` and a couple of my own primary hybrids. And not to forget B. ricinifolia and `Erythrophylla`.
Very interesting are the african begonias. I have two creeping/epiphytic species: B elaeagnifolia and B. oxyanthera And very very interesting are all these yellow flowering begonias from the section Loasibegonia: B. microsperma B. prismatocarpa B. quadrialata nimbaensis (and still looking for the other species of this Section)
Besides this rhizomatous species I have from the Section Petermannia: B. amphioxus, B. brevirimosa, B. serratipetala (and still looking for all the other species from this Sektion) Very interesting for me (and “non-rhizomatous”) are B. xanthina B. bogneri B. trullifolia
And the “classis” ones like: B. venosa B. manicata
For the moment I also have some B. pulchella B. luxurians B. platanifolia
And not to forget the hardy types of Begonia grandis for outdoor.
Begonia hybrids I have for the moment: `Escargot`, B. hatacoa `Silver`, `Comtesse de Montesquieu` `Silver Lace`, `Silver Juwel`, `Regel Menuet` and for outdoor in the summer a couple of tuberhybrid varieties like `Bonfire`or B. sutherlandia.
So if anyone is interested in anything please get in touch or visit our forum to see a lot more begonias,
best wishes

| Une très belle liste Reiner.
Tu n'aurais pas des photos qui vont avec cette liste ? Ce serait bien pour nous montrer ce qu'ils sont. ----------------------- You would not have photographs which go with this list? It would be well to show us what they are. _________________
